Robot Base Configuration: Touch

Configuration

Now, you will learn how to configure your robot for the section. You can configure either a physical or virtual robot. Look over these Configuration Requirements to ensure that your robot is ready.

Robot Base Configuration for Physical and Virtual LEGO EV3

For this section, the EV3 driving base with Touch Sensor is required.

Configuration Requirements

If you are using Robot Virtual Worlds, choose the EV3_REMBOT configuration in the Robot Configuration Model Type window. Do this by selecting the Robot drop-down list from the menu bar, then click Motors and Sensors Setup.

If you are using a physical robot, you must have the model constructed. Follow the building instructions for the REM Bot. The instructions are included in the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 kits. They can also be downloaded here — click on the Educator Vehicle (with attachments) download link. This is an online resource provided by the LEGO Group.
